Confirmed from Tobin Park Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

Really cute park if you want to take just a casual walk since there is a fully paved trail but if you want to do something a little more exciting there’s a few dirt trails as well!

Nice park and trailhead to Salado creek trails. Nicely maintained with plenty of parking. What is unique about the park is big round concrete picnic tables that are sculpted to look like tree crosses sections. Overall nice park.

Lovely stop to fix your bike (tools supplied), fill your water bottle, take a pit spot, and relax a spell. My kids love the sloping sidewalks. We often go here just so they can skate down the slope, walk back up, and repeat over and over again.

It is a wonderful place to stop and take a break. Beautiful trails. There is a large porta potty if you need to use the restroom. Great place to stop and rest and enjoy the trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 10 mentions

“These multi purpose trails (bikes, runners, walker, dogs on leash is my favorite "go to" place to exercise even on 100deg days.”

  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
