Confirmed from Torraine Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly park featuring a small lake along with paved and dirt trails for walking, biking and hiking.

Trail conditions & character
“There is a paved walking track that goes around the entire lake (pond) nice little places to throw a line in but we didn't get any bites.”

“May be good to have a separate path from the parking lot go down to the bike paths.”
“We didn't get any bites on liver, hot dogs, or soft plastic baits.”
“But it is a clean area to walk your dog, jog, or light fishing.”
“I just left and there was a group of 6 cyclists that swerved around me and didn’t realize there was a stroller coming up on the opposite side because of a curve.”
Plan your run at Torraine Lake
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
