This isn't a difficult hike, but so worth the trip. It was about 2.25 miles to the waterfall. A total of 4.5 miles round trip. I had trekking poles, however I didn't really need them. There's a steady incline as you go along the trail and there are quite a few shady areas.
The hike was about 1 and 1/2 hours to the waterfall. Halfway up it's pretty moderate and then the rest of it was pretty intense. When you get to the bench you should stop for a good break. I recommend taking water shoes as you have to cross over the water many times or at least bring an extra pair of socks and shoes.
Awesome beautiful hike! I enjoyed this trail very much. It's only a 4.8 mile hike. The views of this place are spectacular! I enjoyed crossing the creek, walking on the edge of the mountains, rock climbing to the top of the waterfall, and finally rope climbing down the bottom half of the waterfall.
Moderate hike for the uninitiated. Not a challenge at all for experienced hikers. Kid & dog friendly. My family and I love this trail. Dad tip: there’s a somewhat hidden picnic bench halfway between trailhead and falls. Great spot for a family lunch. Beautiful waterfall.
