Confirmed from Trails End's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Trails End

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Gorgeous little area, it felt like a magical place that was hidden from most people.”

Gorgeous little area, it felt like a magical place that was hidden from most people. I never would have noticed it if I hadn't looked for a trailhead. There are some bridges over creeks, it's a little hilly but nothing this overweight girl couldn't handle.

★★★★★ — Rachel , Apr 2022

The wide gravel road attracts lots of mountain bikers, some joggers and hikers. There are 3 bridge crossings of Bear Creek within the first half mile from this trailhead. The Northern Boundary main loop is 9.3 miles in total but this section is only 1.6 miles to connect with main loop.

★★★★★ — Craig , Apr 2025

My favorite place to go walking! This time of year leaves are beautiful. It is gravel but easy to walk on. We always encounter dogs walking with their parents or other walkers or bikers. Everyone is friendly!

★★★★★ — Angela , Nov 2023

Pretty nice little walk but the parking was quite tricky to locate and pull into 😅. Definitely a great spot for regular exercise!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
