Confirmed from Walk to Quarry's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Walk to Quarry
“The quarry was peaceful and beautiful — very picturesque and well worth the walk.”
“Along the way, we passed bikers and dog walkers, and the birds were especially lively, adding to the calm atmosphere.”
It's about a 30 minute walk to the quarry, part of which is pretty rocky but doable for even an amateur hiker. The quarry itself is wonderful and crystal clear. Lots of smaller fish. Great for swimming and cliff diving.
Gorgeous! Went in the fall while it was still semi warm out. Saw fishes and enjoyed the hike and views.
This place is very nice to hike, without rough terrain and tons of elevation changes. There is on old cemetery with fantastic history as well. The quarry itself is just a short hike away. It is a great place to swim or just hang out and enjoy the peaceful outdoors for a while.
We absolutely LOVE walking at this quarry. It is SO beautiful and there is a palpable energy about the place. It feels magical. Not kidding or exaggerating. We go here often.
