Confirmed from Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (11 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Walk the seasonal trail during the spring and summer months when you can! The only complaint I could ever have is that the year round trail isn’t much to see if you’ve hoofed it more than a handful of times. Also, I love to see that most people we come across follow the no running/no dogs rules.

★★★★☆ — Renee , Jul 2025

Absolutely beautiful area. Easy trails provide access to views of the Tualatin River and wetlands teeming with waterfowl. Some trails can get muddy in winter so, wear proper shoes. The visitor center (open Tues-Sun) has great exhibits about the area’s history and wildlife, gift shop and, restrooms.

★★★★★ — Mack , Feb 2026

Great place for a nature walk during the day and stargazing in the turnaround after dark. (Note the park is not open at night)

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
