Confirmed from Tuxedo-Mount Ivy Trailhead (T-MI)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tuxedo-Mount Ivy Trailhead (T-MI)

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (13 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This review is for Tuxedo-Mt. Ivy/Suffern-Bear Mt./Pine Meadow Trail loop on AllTrails (Eagle Rock/Panther/Catamount mountains) in Harriman State Park. It’s is marked as “hard” on AllTrails.

★★★★☆ — Eddy , Nov 2024

Easy access for the dog lovers, plus when it's muddy out rocky paved terrain offer advantages for hiking.

★★★★★ — Bill , Jan 2022

About 20 cars gravel parking near a power substation on Diltz road. It provides access to Tuxedo-Mount Ivy trail, Many Swamps Trail (unblazed), Limekiln Mnt. Trail, and via short connectors to Pine Meadow, Suffern-Bear mountain and Red arrow trails.

★★★★★ — Yurii , Mar 2023

A good parking lot to access Harriman State Park's southeastern trails along the ridge line. Gravel lot can be difficult for cars in poor weather. No water/bathroom. The pin's location has been updated to better reflect where the parking lot is: next to the ConEd O&R Battery Storage Site.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
