Confirmed from Verdugo Mountain Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a number of hiking trails offering views of the valley and Burbank airport.
What runners say about Verdugo Mountain Park
“Unfortunately, when we finished climbing to see the beautiful view, there were two young people with a dog, and the dog kept growling at us.”
An Official Hiking Review: These mountains were born to be climbed. Posing as a challenge to perhaps some more serious hikers, this destination is a must if you are looking for adventure. Long trails lead you to beautiful lookouts that survey the valley.
The perfect balance of intensity and distance for hiking. There are multiple vantage points to appreciate the valley that surrounds them. Definitely a must for anyone who enjoys exercising or exploring new hiking trails!
I was glad I went to Verdugo Mountain Park today with my friend Isaac. Not just to go hiking get away for a bit and be out doors explores and view the surrounds cities in California.
The hike was steep, challenging and fun. I could see Burbank airport from multiple stops. The sunset was gorgeous! I didn't have enough time to climb all the way to the top before it got pitch black. I'll have to come back another time.
