Confirmed from Vereen Memorial Gardens' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic, dog-friendly hiking & recreation area with boardwalk trails through natural wetlands.
What runners say about Vereen Memorial Gardens
“A beautiful spot for walking through the woods, walking across the boardwalks to other areas, and seeing lots of nature.”
“Other than the occasional sound of the traffic in certain areas and the chain link fence that I assume the adjacent property owners installed - it feels miles away and very serene.”
This is a beautiful park with many trails. CON: On early morning walks there are lots of people with dogs and MANY of them are NOT leashed although there is a leash law. Not everyone likes dogs but those people obviously don't care.
This is my favorite place to walk! Since we moved to the area, we have been walking here at least once a week. It is my peaceful sanctuary! We take a different trail each time to go to the intercoastal. I love that everyone places shells in the trees, walks their dogs, and fishes from the dock.

Lovely free nature park with plenty of scenic views and wildlife. If you want to spend the day hiking or picnicking there's plenty of room and facilities to do that. The trails and boardwalks stretch over the marsh for bird viewing and photography.
