Confirmed from Veterans Memorial Gardens' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I stopped at Veterans Memorial Park to charge my EV and was so impressed that I had to leave a review. While my car was charging, I took a walk and was struck by how beautiful and meticulously maintained the park is. The grounds are immaculate, and it's clear that a lot of care and respect goes into this space.

Very nice place to walk your dog! Also they play projector movies on some Fridays. The lawn is well maintained and the gardens are beautiful! Would be 5 stars, but the fountain is the jewel of the park and has been out of commission for the last 2 summers.

Nice memorial for east veterans and a well maintained park. There's an amphitheater that hosts free concerts in the summertime as well. Does NOT have a playground or picnic area per see, but a lot of grassy space to sit, or soak up the sun, and lots of flower beds that are well maintained.

Love going to events here. It's a nice place for families and kids to run around. Beautiful landscaping and nice people. I just wish they would get the fountain fixed because that really ties the park together nicely. They also don't have any play structures for the kiddos.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
