Confirmed from Virginia Central Railway Trail Beginning's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Overall I’m a fan of this trail. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on this trail and there has been a lot of construction of homes and townhomes near the trail. Pros of this trail: paved and well-maintained, good for walking, biking, strollers, and wheelchairs.
Awesome trail for walking, running or biking. It connects to more paths in Idlewild and at Alum Springs Park. There is a traffic light for crossing all the roads so it's super safe. There's parking right by the start of the trail. It's not super hilly although there are definitely changes in elevation.
I go here often to walk. Has side walks and more than five miles of walking
Great walking and biking trail just down from the heart of Fredericksburg. It's 2.5 miles out so 5 miles total. Beginning is in sun but most is under nice shade. You can access from Allum Park too.
