Confirmed from Walker Ranch Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Wide concrete trails for walking or biking. Area is well kept and has mile markers. Trail goes along the dry creek bed. Views are of thick oak trees and plenty of wild life. Spotted many dear, squirrels, and lizards. I was here during spring and the wild flowers were blooming all along the trail. Very nice.

Beautiful quiet park. Walking distance from our home and our dog loves it. Trails are well kept and smooth perfect for walking, biking, or even skating. Nice canopy area as well for group events and a playground for the kids.

★★★★★ — Travis , Mar 2019

Great place to walk, run or bike. Many different trails to choose from based on your preference pertaining to level of difficulty/ease. Very family friendly with a nice playground for the kids as well. So many opportunities to watch deer in their natural setting. We saw several groups of them on our walk.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
