Confirmed from Wild Hyacinth Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“This is a very nice, fairly easy trail and includes a couple of creek crossings.”

Nice trail, easy to follow path. Could be pretty messy after a decent rain. There were some standing water areas, but we're easy to get around, and totally expected! Nice area, and well maintained.

Always a great hike. Be careful after a rain as it can be wet/muddy, but this little hike never disappoints.

If you like the outdoors, mother nature and some history, this is a great trail for that. The trail is in good shape, it has its bumps and some rocks in the trail but nevertheless, a great trail for a hike. (No bikes on this trail) You will see and old stone wall where you cross the creek.

★★★★★ — Ronald , Aug 2017

This is a fabulous hike. It's marked rugged but I would call it moderate. It's a bit confusing. There's a leg there's a straight shot perhaps the 1.5 MI marked on the sign. Then at the Louisville Loop, it connects to what might be another 1.5 MI that does circle around.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
