Confirmed from Wild Turkey Strand Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Some parts of the trail were shaded and we got to see a little wildlife while walking.”

Nice 1.8 mile loop trail that alternates between pavement, raised boardwalk and grass trails. Nice parking lot with a bathroom. Saw plenty of lizards, a small snake and a raccoon. Relatively scenic with few people early in the morning.

Had a lovely scenic morning walk, I must say thank you for the heads up to wear shoes you don't care for! It gets muddy when the trail ends for a bit, but the views were great. Got to see lots of nature and teach the young to respect being in wild life's territory.

★★★★★ — Merissa , Mar 2019

Went to this preserve during the week and it was very quiet. We encountered one other family there, a father and son. We didn’t see much in the way of wildlife. We did see some butterflies, a couple bees and a black racer. I think our timing was off to spot the wildlife.

The rubber path was nice and easy on my feet and knees! Some parts of the trail were shaded and we got to see a little wildlife while walking. Some of the path is “marshy” to standing water but nothing above ankle right now (11/17) was there between noon and 2PM on a Friday and we had the trail to ourselves.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
