Confirmed from Bainbridge Boat Basin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful place i drove here and parked by the lake ate and walked around there many parking spots and bathrooms and there's a place for biking and skating”

Very nice park... well kept. Has paved nature trail, many boat ramps and docks, small boat basin on the Flint river. Wonderful sports complex for baseball, football, soccer, and tennis. Ample parking. And an entertainment open air stage. There is also some camping available.

Businesses are decorating Christmas trees that line the streets of the park. Just beautiful to walk or drive through

Such a beautiful park! We were headed to AL from FL with our travel trailer. Found this gem to stop to have lunch, a break to continue to our stop. We didn't get a chance to see everything but did walk around a little. It's on the Flint River. Boat ramps/ docks looked nice.

My kids love playing at the old boat basin park. They actually prefer it over the new park that's further down the river walk. The only problem is that the old playground jungle gymn is now missing two slides and really needs repairs or replacing altogether.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
