Parked here and went up the North Skyline Trail toward Ben Lomond Peak. The first two miles was non-technical, beautiful single track. Next mile was more steep and had lots of mosquitoes. Then hit the ridge and it was 360 degrees of absolute beauty. It does look like the trail opens up to dirt bikes on July 15.
This trail is a fun experience! I love it. It's connected with few other trails. I would say that it's not a hard hike, but it's steep almost all the way. It can take you 1hr approx. to get to the Waterfall depending how many rest you take.
The trail up to the waterfall was clean. The first half is pretty easy. After the bridge over the creek, it gets hard. There is plenty of changing scenery and friendly people. Be mindful of those around you with different hiking levels. My four year old (her first mountain) and I had a blast!
Beautiful! This hike is uphill and rocky. Some people say it's two miles, and some say it's three. It feels longer because of the terrain. Just take your time up and down because the trail will be wet in some spots. If you bring a dog, please respect the leash law. Bring plenty of water.
