I love bicycling on the Airline Trail. The spur coming down into Colchester is a little over 3 miles long. Be very careful at the intersection where it crosses route 85, the cars really fly along there. Both the spur and Airline South are gravel but pretty well upkept though they pool some water after a rain storm.
Well groomed and very runnable trail. Met several friendly people running and on bikes. Too bad the heat did me in.
Nice trail to hike or bike. The Colcheater spur is about 3 miles to the Airline Trail which it meets in Amston.
Perfect for a run! Nice and flat! Offers just the right amount of shade!
