Confirmed from Ardenwald Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood park with a children's playground, covered patio, and concert series during the summer.
What runners say about Ardenwald Park
“Small but well-kept park with a very small play structure aimed at toddlers/little kids.”
“Good sidewalk loop for walking, nice benches, quiet neighborhood, and I got to pet a dog!”
“Great little park to walk the dog and let child play.”
This is a small quite little park. Never too crowded. Has picnic tables and a place to walk around. If you need more shade or area, just cross the street and you'll be at Ardenwald Elementary School. You can bring your dogs as well. Just remember to pick up after them.
Good sidewalk loop for walking, nice benches, quiet neighborhood, and I got to pet a dog! (Dog petting not guaranteed in every park experience)
We love our little neighborhood park. Small, but perfect. My typical use is walking our dog through the path. We also try to attend the neighborhood association concerts every August since moving in over 10 years ago.
Great little park to walk the dog and let child play. Perfect set up for free concerts in the summer. People please clean up after animals, bags are provided, no excuses.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
