This is a fantastic beach for walking far from the shore in low tide or for shallow swimming situation. It is protected from the wind so less cold than other beaches. Lots of birds to observe all year round.
Stopped here on our way home after a weekend fishing in Westport. ADA friendly vault toilet with hand sanitizer at trailhead directly off of the parking lot. The parking lot was very quiet with ample parking on a late weekday morning.
This beach park is beautiful. Tons of parking then like a 7 minute walk to the beach. Once there it’s stretches for miles both ways. You will find glass, pottery, and a ton of huge tires on the beach. There are few houses on the beach to rent. There’s a ton of shells to find as well.
Nice quick walk with lots of birds to listen for, easy trail and not very busy. Lots of potholes in the parking lot so knocked it down a star. Lovely walk with quite a bit of large glass along the beach. Was here just in time as the sun was setting and the rainbow was an added bonus ;)
