Confirmed from Boyscout hiking trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Boyscout hiking trail
“Pretty scenic trail through the saltwater marsh.”
Perfect trail to walk... relax and wind down. Hike back to the picnic area at the dead end under the old oak tree. Close your eyes, relax and listen to nature. Try to imagine what it was like a thousand years ago when the local natives lived here.
Great trails, saw gopher tortoises, armadillos, gators, and many birds.
Had a great experience on the trails. Love the feeling of being out in nature. The birds were back also, which added to the experience.
Fun hike around Weedon Island. It feels very secluded for being just a short drive from Downtown St Petersburg.

“This loop also connects with many of the boardwalk trails which are also worth a look, especially if you're looking for birds.”
