Confirmed from Bullfrog Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Great park to enjoy with your loves one and friends, i like this when I need some quiet times and time away from everything .”

A great little 3 mile hike up and back in the Hershey area. It does have an incline but is not difficult. It's definitely cooler during the summer as most of it is shaded. I included some fall pictures as that is my favorite time to go there. Enjoy!

We always come to this sweet park and trail when we visit Hershey. The trail runs along the creek, is wide and paved so easy to ride bikes, push a stroller, walk dogs (leashes on). It’s a serene setting and captures the beauty of the natural environment seasonally. Recently there are goslings!

Great park to enjoy with your loves one and friends, i like this when I need some quiet times and time away from everything . There are some great nature trails , bike 🚲 trails as well.

My pup and I have been coming here for a long time now. For the most part, the trails are clean. But not all pet owners clean up the poop. The one major thing that bothers me is the people on bicycles. Most of them are curtious and give you a heads up when they are passing you.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
