Confirmed from Schiavoni Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Schiavoni Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (166 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Well maintained trails where you can walk close to the river but not too much too see.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“I was there in June and beautiful catalpa trees were blooming along the trail.”

Small park with a few trails. Well maintained trails where you can walk close to the river but not too much too see. There are some small flowers on the paths. This park also has a kayak/canoe ramp and a large open area if you walk down one of the trails!

★★★★☆ — Alexandra , Oct 2021

Nice park with paved walking/running/biking paths. Plenty of parking, including handicap spaces. The path meanders along the Swatara Creek and the entire path is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of benches along the way to sit and enjoy the views. They are installing a Disk Golf course along the path.

My niece and nephew love this place! It's clean family oriented. You can go canoeing, ride your bike, walk, jog and even bring your dog and a doggie poop bag. The kids love wading in the water's edge. It's open dusk to dawn. Definitely 5 starts

Nice little park for walking and going with the pup. I wouldn't recommend this course for disc golf - dense wooded areas from the walkway to the water... Makes it tough to recover a disc if lost.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
