Confirmed from Gelder Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“This is a very family-friendly community park.”

It's a very beautiful park and has all equipment suitable for toddlers to grown up children. Ample space for running and playing in the playground. There is a separate area for basketball, lawn tennis and other sports activities. I saw people with dogs so it must be supportive of pet walking too.

Very nice park, live right near the park. I'd recommend this park to anyone with a small child. The activates here are almost endless, this park is handicapped accessible everywhere. Great space for dog walking, hiking and biking.

Absolutely beautiful park !! Nice paved walking paths and very handicapped friendly. The paths around the park have exercise points with certain activities to do to help you stay fit. The park is also pet friendly with plenty of waste disposal cans all-around. Definitely worth a visit !!!

I was staying with family in this neighborhood, and my daughter loved this park. It is well kept and in a nice suburban area. It has a small slide area for toddlers and a bigger side for older kids. Although, my one year old tackled the big kid slides, too.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 6 mentions

“There are a couple of other fields for baseball as well, a field house and playground, porta potty by the parking lot with lots of spaces to park.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
