One of my fondest memories was doing Geocaching with my brother here. He came into town with his daughter and wanted to hunt for treasure. This was a nice activity but the location was very cool. Really created for the walker but it is a great bike trail as well.
Great access point for either a short stroll or access to hundreds of miles of trail. The trail connects to Wegmans to the south with a nice winding paved path, and just to the north is the Old Erie Canal State trail. Great launching point to walk, run, hike or bike.
An easy trail to walk, or as in the case today, bring our young grandsons to ride their bikes. Benches to rest are well-placed. A map of the main trail, with side trails, would be helpful, as would receptacles for dog waste.
Discovering Butternut Creek Trail was an absolute delight…..its easy 1.6-mile out-and-back path winds gently alongside a serene creek, surrounded by lush greenery and the cheerful songs of birds, making it perfect for a peaceful morning stroll or family outing.
