Confirmed from Clark Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Clark Nature Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (69 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“There are great views of the Susquehanna River, great rocky ridgetops, streams, meadows, diverse forest and a Wind Cave.”

The Goodno trail allows for easy access to the Conestoga trail system. When you reach the orange blazes of the Conestoga trail, there should be an overlook directly in front of you. If you turn left when you reach the Conestoga trail, you will eventually run into Tucquan Glen, a county favorite.

Gorgeous trail with breath taking views. Also a very interesting Chestnut breeding plot. Certainly worth the drive. Parking/ finding the trail head can be tricky.

★★★★★ — Hudson , Dec 2018

Spacious parking area with semi difficult trails that lead to wonderful views. Great for anyone wanting a good cardio workout with various inclines and rocks to climb.

★★★★★ — Steven , Feb 2020

I love this spot. It's a short walk through the woods to get to house rock overlook. The view is great, and it's not as packed as a lot of other "scenic areas" around. The parking is also great and they have a portapotty as well for convenience. Definitely 5 stars (great for picnics)

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
