Confirmed from Trout Run Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded natural ravine with tall trees, steep rock areas and a winding stream leading to small waterfalls.
What runners say about Trout Run Nature Preserve
“The walk here was very beautiful and tranquil but there are a few sharp, steep climbs.”
Love this trail, fantastic hiking, and great for some fly fishing for brookies
Bring a walking stick and good hiking shoes. It was gorgeous today. Parts of the trail are very narrow. I'm adventurous person so I don't mind climbing the rocks. There was a lot of natural beauty to take in. Parking is limited so we parked up by the Enola trail. Just added another mile or so to the hike
Underrated and beautiful. Maybe a 2 mile hike, mostly flat land, but a few narrow paths and climbing under fallen trees. Wear sturdy shoes! Love this place!! Parking space is very limited.
This was a beautiful place to go. Park at Steinman Run and walk down stump road (short walk) and entrance to park is on the right hand side. It’s a narrow entrance but once you are on trail it widens. We had a 5 year old and 2 year old so we only walked about .5 mile of trail to go swimming.
