Confirmed from Coyote Gulch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Coyote Gulch Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (248 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“My kids and I ❤️ walks around a good park with great views.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Lots of mulch under the play structure, plenty of big trees around for shade, benches and a couple of picnic tables.”

This neighborhood park is wonderful. With breathtaking views of the front range and Red Rocks, plenty of recreation area (including basketball and baseball) and a large field of grasses with a walking loop, this park has it all! Not a destination location, but definitely a wonderful asset to the neighborhood.

Nice park not far from Red Rocks with nice views of the front range. There is also a playground and a few sport fields as well as trails all around the neighborhood.

★★★★★ — Oriane , Dec 2019

Even though the playground is old, it's actually perfect for my little ones. It's not super high off the ground and it's simple enough that the kids use their imagination. The bathrooms could use more attention however. Views are beautiful and the field is well taken care of.

★★★★★ — Ashley , Aug 2021

My kids grew up at this park so I love it. I walk around it 5 times a week to walk dogs. Large open area in the grass for kids to run around, play soccer, or set up a volleyball net. There's also a new baseball park that's beautiful. Fuse of the front range Foothills including Red rocks amphitheatre.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
