Confirmed from D&L Trail - Cementon Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Parking lot was full, and there is roadwork across the street from the entrance as of July 2023. The D&L trail to Slatington is in good condition and very shady, so it was a great place to ride on a hot summer day

★★★★☆ — Tim , Jul 2023

Full of site seeing and lots of shade to enjoy walking, jogging and riding your bike. I highly recommend this trail

★★★★★ — Jamie , Jul 2020

I rode my bike from Cementon to Slatington and back along the D&L trail. The trail was easy and flat along the way. There were a lot of interesting sites along the way. The signs were good and explained the history of the former Railway and Canal.

★★★★★ — Raymond , Mar 2022

This is a beautiful ride along the river. It’s also a great walking trail fly and easy if you choose to go all the way up to Slatington and it’s about a 10 mile ride and so worth it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
