Confirmed from Dolton Park District's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Dolton Park District

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (655 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“It was a food truck festival going on, with a live bad, dj Rexx, jumpy houses, different vendors selling food/items fieldhouse was open for us to use the washroom, nice n clean.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Still, it's clean to a great degree, scenic, & just right for kids.”

I love this park! It's down the street from where I live. I've met some of the most polite, & high spirited people on the walk path! Fully refreshing! Still have to be careful because some people continue to do as they please, that is let their dog do a #2, & don't clean it up, despite signs everywhere indicating NO…

The track is awesome. The park is always clean and plenty to do. If you're walking the track there are so of points to work on other parts of the body, like bars for doing Phillip's Pull-ups or sit ups crunches plus plenty for the kids to do, from riding their bikes, to playing on the slides and swing.

I come here to power walk around the park. They do not allow pets that are not on a leash in the park. However, some people violate this rule. They have plenty of parking. They have a nice little area for kids to play. Around the park, they have different outside exercise equipment.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 6 mentions

“Only downside, no parking was available in the parking lot it was completely too small, the residents in the area complained about people parking in front of their homes.”
