Great way to spend a few hours outdoors and getting some exercise! The trails are mostly natural (dirt, rocks, twigs, small stream crossings), but there is a section that is wheelchair accessible. Two main trails; one is 2.4 miles, and the other is around 4, though there is a connector trail to cut that one in half.
One of the few unspoiled areas close to St. Louis. This is an amazing place that I'd recommend to anybody. Very unique landscape & terrain. Sandstone natural bridges & carved overhangs on the long trail were outstanding & amazing. Abundant wildlife, although I only photographed a few lizards & a trapdoor spider.
Very nice state park. It’s a newer park in the Missouri state park system. There’s two trails, one about 4 miles the other about 2.5 miles. The longer (red) trail can actually be shortened as there’s a cut off trail about half way through. Red trail is nice. Starts off paved for handicap accessibility.
Great park with awesome trails! Trail starts off partially paved surrounded by trees then descends down through the woods. Great scenery! Beautiful cliffs, caves/rock shelters, creeks, and a few small waterfalls (weather permitting- none when we went early March 22).
