Confirmed from Duck Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with shaded picnic areas & BBQ grills, plus sports fields, a playground & nearby golf course.
What runners say about Duck Creek Park
“Tree clean up after the big storm was on point.”
“We loved the playground, the zoo garden was awesome, the view to the Mississippi was gorgeous, and the duck pond was so much fun for our entire family.”
“Really dig the vibe and the amount of shade along with luscious green foliage with plenty of large trees.”
Perfect place to park for the bike trails. Beautiful park, nice pavilions & Duck Creek itself is really nice & follows along the trail plenty with all of its beauty.
This park has very nice bike trails but does lack a basketball and tennis court.
One of my favorite places in the whole world since I was a child. Picnics, golf, tennis, bike trail east entrance, Stampe Lilac Garden, much has changed and much has stayed the same.
I park here when I go bike riding with my kids and solo trips. Really dig the vibe and the amount of shade along with luscious green foliage with plenty of large trees. Great family time everytime!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
