We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Etowah Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very cool area! Is hidden behind a construction site. Also the local HS backyard is close by. Is sod to know this land is for sale. I love the fact the trail communicates all the way to the Alatoona Lake. Let's enjoy the nature close to the city of Canton before they make more residential neighborhoods 😦🥺😭😢

Google Maps directions are WRONG. If you follow Google Maps it will take you to the back of a neighborhood with no public entrance. Instead go to Boiling Springs Park and follow road around to back where the picnic pavilion is, from that parking area the Trail head with white markers can be seen.

Just loved this trail system. But know where your going and follow a map. Or a screen shot of a map. This is an amazing network of trails I could wander through there most of the day. It really is beautiful!

This is a little tricky to find but nice options on e you get there. The sped humps are a little excessive and you need to crawl over them if in a sedan. Three port-a-pots are in the area and kept up pretty well. Trail entrance has nice new sign with a map. Trail options vary but most hills are only ~100'.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
