Confirmed from Flag on the Hill - Herriman's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Flag on the Hill - Herriman
“Great view, just wish it had more green, but I get it, the place was once on fire and grass isn't natural over here.”
Was a great step hike, highly recommend being smart unlike me when I don't bring any water. But the hike is 100× better when you go right before sunrise and you can just see everything, including the sun rising. And you can get many great photo shoots like I did.
The beginning of the trailhead has an ATV looking path and a single rough trail, follow the single trail! It's a rugged steep trail with loose rocks. About 1/4 of the way up you may lose the path when it opens up into flat, just keep heading towards the nearest peak and you'll find the trail again going straight up…
I’m by no means an expert on hikes or trails. In fact beginner is a little advanced for me. I’m also not in the best shape but working on it. This trail is challenging if you are of similar skill as mine. However is very rewarding by to make it to the top. As many reviews say. The last bit of the trail is VERY steep!
I have been here a lot and love hiking to the flag it’s a hard hike but I would say it’s worth it
