Confirmed from Freedom Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Freedom Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (119 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 15 mentions

“There is ample parking, all of the fields are well maintained, there is ample lighting for night games, and most important of all, there is a well stocked concession stand.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful park with multiple Baseball fields just off the Greenway Toll.”

Beautiful park with multiple Baseball fields just off the Greenway Toll. Traffic getting here from RT7 in the afternoons is complete hell! Recommend going into Leesburg -> 15S -> Evergreen Mills RD. Park is nicely kept with usually clean bathrooms and concession stand during select games.

★★★★★ — Matthew , May 2016

Great well kept little park. Has really cool art (think metal and/or wood sculptures. A nice path with mesh picnic tables, benchrs to sit, dog friendly with poop bags stand, info on the trees planted and a creek (not really easy to get into and splash around in).

★★★★★ — Heather , Jun 2019

This park is awesome. Great for walking, running or biking. If you are a sports fan it has great fields for baseball or soccer. Close to shopping easy access.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 9 mentions

“Field quality is amazing, all fields have lights, plenty of parking, good restroom facilities and seasonal concession stand.”
