We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Tuscarora Creek Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small park with a picnic shelter, kids' playground & access to a creekside biking trail.
What runners say about Tuscarora Creek Park
“There are always a ton of spiderwebs, spiders, and sometimes tiny termite looking bugs all over the slides so it's good to clean the park off before little ones play on it.”
No public restrooms, but ample parking. We went down a short winding bike/walking trail to the WC&O trail and rode it for almost an hour. Beautiful spots to stop, and covered seating every now and then. We will definitely catch this trail again!
Playground is nothing special, but it's got a covered seating area to host parties and events. Also, the park is right on the trail, so you can certainly being the bikes and enjoy a nice ride.
A regular stop on the W&OD Trail as it is across from Lowe's, but isolated enough to enjoy the wooded setting. picnic tables and water fountains to accommodate small but nice playground.
Nice little park. Quiet on weekdays. Good place to have a picnic, small playground and connecting bike paths.
Trail conditions & character
“The porta potties are not that good though, nice place to meet up with a grill and pavilion.”
“It's a bit hard for younger kids to climb up themselves.”
“picnic tables and water fountains to accommodate small but nice playground.”
