Confirmed from French Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Veteran-focused space equipped with ball fields and playgrounds, plus tennis courts.
What runners say about French Memorial Park
“Beautiful homes, a safe town, some excellent restaurant choices and take- out.”
Love this so close to my home. My little one loves walking to the park. The electric is on so you can use the outlets if you need them, there's Pokemon stops and gyms. The pumpkin festival is always fun.
One if my favorite parks in Seymour - I bring my 22 month old here quite often during the warmer weather. It has everything that a typical park has... Playgrounds [1 for older children, 1 for the youngsters like mine], baseball field, large open flat grass area, trails & although the public restrooms are boarded up,…
Beautiful Park. Walk up to the flag for a panoramic view. Love the harvest festival held here in September.
Quiet and scenic park in Seymour. Beautiful views of route 8 and the valley that surrounds it.
Trail conditions & character
“To the left, you have the most breathtaking views directly over route 8, seeing all of downtown Seymour & the valley as far as one could see.”
“After regular spring season ends, there are only porta potties, snack bar is not open and their is handicapped parking but field itself is not flat nor wheelchair accessible.”
“Between the upper level and lower level- is a huge hill that begins with concrete bleachers built into the hillside.”
