If you’re looking for something outdoorsy to do, this is a good place to go with a variety of options. They recently added 4 rentable kayaks that you need to download an app to rent. It comes with the kayak, oar, and a life jacket. You pay $20 for 2 hours. There is also a walking trail where you can see pitcher plants.
Absolutely LOVED kayaking here. Very serene with lots of wildlife. Walked the nature trail beginning of December and the water level is down so much that the kayak launch is more one to have to set your kayak in the water and then get in the kayak,instead of the usual slide right in. Drought will ease soon,I hope.
I decided to stop by early one weekday morning to walk my dog and get some fresh air after dropping my son off at his work; I'm so glad we did! We had an amazing, quiet, nature filled stroll on the boardwalk which seemed to go on and on! Loved it! Signs here and there explaining the different habitats.
Very quiet. Huge grassy walkways with abundant plant life. It is free to walk the trails, play frisbee golf, bike or launch a kayak. There were archery fields and a playground. We did see rabbits, armadillos, and butterflies. Although there were many cars, we only saw 4 other people during the two hour walk.
