Confirmed from Grove Creek Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Strenuous hiking area featuring a waterfall, mountain views, and a clearing at the top.
What runners say about Grove Creek Falls
“Great cardio hike along a steep canyon with dramatic views and beautiful greenery from the falls onward.”
Moderate to strenuous trail with some steep inclines and a big payoff. One of my favorite hikes I’ve done in Utah. Just gorgeous, pictures don’t do it justice. You get an expansive view of salt lake, a little waterfall, and breathtaking mountainscape all around.
This is one of my favorite trails. I love the adventure I feel walking the cliff edges and sheets of shale rock. I love watching for the 2 sets of waterfalls that both have 4 tiers. If you don't watch, you night miss seeing some of the tiers. I love that this trail is 2.
We didn't hike to the falls, we only went to see the flag! Going to see the flag was awesome! It is so large, we can see it from miles away. Because the parking lot was blocked, we found street parking. Because the road is slanted, we had to "hike" up to the trailhead. There was a path of state flags, which was cool.
This is such a wonderful hike. It is a bit more challenging for kids but if you take your time, it is a great hike. You’ll be able to see lots of wildlife along the way if you keep your eyes and ears open. The water should be flowing really well this summer due to, so much snowfall from the winter of 2023.
