Confirmed from Valley Vista Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Valley Vista Trails
Great trail system. South side is uphill north side is downhill. Basically one big loop, can’t really get much diversity in which trails you ride. But the ones that are there are fun, although on the very beginner side (lots of winding turns, get repetitive.
The Valley Vista trails are great for what they are. They provide a great area to build confidence on singletrack. There are some harder lines the higher you climb, and the whole trail system is kind of like a ladder.
These are great trails! It is a lot of climbing, but, they were expertly built, so it doesn't feel like a lot of climbing. And of course, what goes up, must come down. The downhill is flowy, fast, and generally well organized so you don't run in to much uphill traffic on your way down.
These are fantastic trails. Good for beginners while leaving room for creativity from more experienced guys. They do a great job at making use of space as well, the park seems way bigger than it looks on a map
Trail conditions & character
“The downhill is less steep then other trails, during the “downhill” it switches back uphill and flat more then usual.”
“If you love burms or technical trails then you need to go here.”
“I think the bendy nature of these trails is the part that makes them fun for any skill level because advanced riders can ride them at whatever speed keeps them on edge.”
“Basically one big loop, can’t really get much diversity in which trails you ride.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
