Confirmed from Gunpowder Falls Trail - Bel Air rd Crossing.'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Rocky hiking area featuring trout-filled rivers, a quarry and an old rusty car along a trail.
What runners say about Gunpowder Falls Trail - Bel Air rd Crossing.
“River is beautiful and had plenty of small trout”
“Gets a little crowded on weekends along the river trail, but the back half of the loop was incredibly peaceful.”
lovely peaceful network of nature trails but make sure you wear your best pair of hiking shoes! ☺️
This is always a lovely spot no matter which trail is taken. This spot is less congested by far than other Gunpowder Trailheads. There's not much parking in this area and turning south on BelAir Road from the parking area can be a tire-burner.
Very cool area to hike at. It's along the stream and there is an old run down car just off the path it's all rusted to bits to the point you can't even tell what it was. Further off the path it looks like an old quarry uses to be there. I'll be stopping by this place a few more times and venture around :)
Great place for an easy hike. Amazing stream my kids had a blast swimming there. Just beautiful!!!
