Confirmed from Harrison-Crawford State Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

Went to the Harrison-Crawford State Forest to do the “Adventure Hiking Trail” with my brother-in-law. (Look for Obannon Woods and AHT) Beautiful park, and a great 25 mile trail. They have several overnight shelters throughout the trail, but you can also tent camp.

Great place to enjoy nature! This forest has a lot to offer with camping, hiking, horseback riding and more. Check with on of the friendly park rangers when you visit to make sure the area you're going to is open. They will close off sections, including the 20 mile adventure trail, for logging.

Nice trails, though a map board would have been helpful. I saw only a small part of the forest and will go back to do more exploring.

★★★★☆ — Dave , Jun 2021

What an exceptional park! We went in December so there was no charge however be aware that at certain times of the year there is a charge per vehicle. The park is gorgeous with endless trails and sights to see! We climbed the fire station and the view was amazing! So worth the trip!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
