Confirmed from High Hill Creek Bike and Run Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about High Hill Creek Bike and Run Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (59 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“The trails are nicely maintained and the majority of the trails are shaded.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“It's great for hiking and running, but be cautious of hidden roots.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Overall, not much in the way of technicality and a great beginner to intermediate trail, but enjoyable enough for all levels.”

I have been to this trail twice now. Once on a Tuesday and once on a Wednesday. The trail is very well taken care of. Signs and trail make sense. They have a few routes for beginners to intermediates. I must say, the route on mon wed fri and sun are much more exciting.

Wonderful trails under the trees with plenty to entertain the eye. Trails are well marked and well maintained. Follow the blue blazes Mon, Wed, Fri, & Sat and the orange blazes on Tue, Thur, & Sun. If you’re on foot, do the opposite. A porta-john is available in the parking area for bathroom needs.

My daughter and I are beginner/intermediate level riders and we find these trails fun and challenging. The trails are nicely maintained and the majority of the trails are shaded.

★★★★★ — Richard , May 2022

Had a blast. This trail has a good mix of climbs, descents, drops, jumps, berms rollers and some pump sections and wooden features. I ride a slack long travel 29er with 800mm bars and totally shredded. Feels like a mix of the Hulk, Biggin and some sections were a bit Harbisonish. Well worth a visit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Flat & fast 4 mentions

“Excellent place for biking or running with terrain varying from flat to hilly with views of a lake, creek and woods.”

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
