This place is one of the best hiking spots in Spokane. So many trails to choose from, and I love the views. This place is within a few minutes drive from Spokane Valley, I highly recommend this place.
My wife, roommate, and I all hiked this trail and it was amazing. We spent 3 hours hiking and yes we got tired but well worth it for the view. I would recommended comfortable shoes and going when it's not to hot. Bring plenty of water! It was so fun definitely recommend!
Did this hike with a 30 lb toddler on my back. It was beautiful and just challenging enough. Some parts of the trail were poorly managed. Mud and erosion. Beware: we also later found two ticks crawling on us. Also saw lots of other, more desirable, wildlife.
One of my favorite places for solitude, wildlife and a variety of different types of people. Some weekends you may find a "butterfly expert" standing at the head of the "Stevens Creek" Trailhead. There is a lot of history to be discovered, simply by talking to the other hikers.
