Confirmed from Kingsland Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Rode my friends bike around a portion of this pretty park. The water is calming to view while walking or riding bikes. The park could use some flowers or garden areas but otherwise, loved it. I liked having the crossing guards holding traffic over the streets you crossed over.

Kingsland Park in Nutley is perhaps one of the most scenic parks in all of Essex County, New Jersey. It has a lot of everything for everyone of all ages. Beautiful park with many walking and biking paths along beautiful and well kept waterways. You can find picnic areas, playgrounds and more. Stunning walking paths. I will definitely come back!

Very nice park created on the bank of Third River. The third river, also known as the Yantacaw River, is a third tributary to Passaic River. Park is never crowded, and you will have a very peaceful experience, either walking, jogging, or biking in this park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
