Confirmed from La Carretera Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Informal neighborhood park featuring a playground, picnic tables, a basketball court and grassy fields.
What runners say about La Carretera Park
“Nice clean park lots of play area baseball diamond very shady with alot of trees”
“Friendly locals, surprisingly quiet (as it is right against the 405 freeway overpass), fenced in, playground, basketball court, and picnic tables.”
Mars Park!! My dog Mars use to love coming here to run around in the open field lol. RIP little buddy.
Nice 👌 place, beautiful playground, amazing basketball 🏀 court and plenty of open field to run, practice other sports or simply to have fun. Wnjoy your visit!
This park is walking distance from my home.. so I love that convenience.. so the reason I only gave 4 stars.. there is not a bathroom.. & if its a sunny day.. there is not any shade on the playground equipment.. My kids don't mind.. but for me.. it gets too hot.. LOL.. For a neighborhood park.. it serves its purpose..
I knew about this neighborhood park for years. Finally had time to bring the kids here. The playground was fun for the toddler. The 11 year old had fun too. The park also has a large grassy area to run around. There is a basketball court too. The 405 is right behind it so it isn't the quietest.
