Confirmed from Lenoir Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
40-acre preserve offering Hudson River views, featuring a nature center & seasonal butterfly garden.
What runners say about Lenoir Preserve
“Takes less than an hour to hike the trails, very picturesque scenery in the fall.”
“So, quiet and peaceful walking through the woods and the birds chirping puts a nice touch to being out in natures garden.”
I've always liked coming to Lenore and visiting the butterfly garden. Great for bird watching and for leisurely strolls on the paved path. If you bring your dog, please keep them on a leash. Just as beautiful during the winter too!
A wonderful place to walk through nature. It reminds me of the sleep-away camp I went to in the Catskills.
It's a beautiful well maintained little park. There is a butterfly garden which I'm sure will be nice in the warmer weather (we were there in February). There are also a couple of old homes/mansions but you can only look at them for me outside. It is however, quite small.
A relatively short walk (~0.8 miles) - there is a paved path you can follow with various branching points. The unpaved paths are hard to follow, but since the place is contained, it's difficult to get lost. While Google maps currently lacks routes in the preserve, you can orient yourself with regards to landmarks.
