Confirmed from Leonard Harrison State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Leonard Harrison State Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,967 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“There are clean facilities at the top, plenty of parking and several levels of lookouts I'm definitely going to visit in all seasons!”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“An excellent scenic overlook with spectacular views of the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.”

This place is beautiful. We went camping and passed this along the way. Convenient bathrooms, clean. A lovely rest stop. The only problem, there was barely any signage on the way there to know where it was! We had to rely on gps which was in and out of service due to the area, so have it uploaded.

One of our favorite spots in Northern Pennsylvania. This Tioga county grand Vista is absolutely amazing. As you look over the thousands of acres of State Park and watch the leaves blow up following the canyon draft, it’s absolutely amazing.

Very nice park. Everything is pretty new, it seems. We did the Turkey Trail all the way to the bottom - 800 feet down and 800 feet up. Don't do this trail if you question your balance or get nervous easily; There are a few spots where you get a little uneasy that you might slip or trip down a steep slope.

Beautiful area, there are tons of trails and the views go on for miles. It was a little hazy when we went so I felt like there wasn't as much perspective depth but we still loved it. Very accessible at some points and we will be back soon.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
