Confirmed from Lime Ridge Open Space's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Undeveloped ridgeline offering hiking & biking trails amid diverse wildlife & chaparral vegetation.

Best place for a beautiful easy hike. Not too steep for long distances. Spring time is beautiful with green hills and flowers.
Lime Ridge Open Space Preserve is a peaceful green belt right in the metro area, with rolling hills and wide-open views in every direction. Even in winter, the landscape starts turning green, offering calm, scenic trails before wildflower season arrives.
Love this open space and hiking in it. There are different ways to go to make your hike longer or shorter. And people are usually very polite about dogs and passing them, etc. Bathrooms and water fountain at the house up the hill from the parking lot. And they have a dog wear fountain too!!
Sunrise here is not bad, to say the least. Conveniently located area to get a little exercise, for those of us in Concord or Walnut Creek who need a side of beautiful natural scenery with our walk/jog/ride.
