We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Little Cypress Creek Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 58-acre preserve features 10 artificial ponds, plus hiking, jogging, biking & horseback riding.
What runners say about Little Cypress Creek Preserve
“Beautiful preserve managed by Bayou Land Conservancy!”
“It was time to escape the city and enjoy nature.”
Such a beautiful place. You can hike, bike, walk your pets. I even did a photo shoot there. Bring lots of repellent and wear proper shoes. Water is in the creek , it can be very muddy after it rains, so watch where you step. This is a perfect place to meditate, journal, do yoga or just relax.
Came out here yesterday and we didn't have bug spray, big mistake. Today we saw our first owl on a hike. A huge one over on the left side from the entrance along the creek. Awesome experience! Lots of birds, bird houses, and bat houses.
I’ve gone plenty of times on weekday mornings and rarely came across anyone else, it gets quieter with older trees the further you go. Definitely feels more rugged but I prefer my walks this way. If you want cement pavement walk around the suburbs! This is the woods.
This is the first time I come to this preserve part and when I first got there I was like but once I walked in I loved it I only had like a 15 minute walk and I like what I saw the only reason why I couldn't do the whole trail was because the mosquitoes were like from the zombies in The walking Dead every time I look…
