This park offers a lovely, peaceful walk alongside the lake. Everyone we passed along the trail was friendly. We're not sure if it's pet-friendly, we didn’t see anyone with dogs during our visit. The trail itself is a bit rugged, with alot of roots and rocks.
The 4 Mile (Day Loop) was a wonderful, leisurely walk of about 1hr and 45min. Nothing we felt like we needed hiking poles for at all but a few rocky steps along the shore area. Would definitely recommend if you want some rolling wooded hills to hike!
Well marked trails - not gravel, paved, but rugged. Dog friendly, great elevation changes as you can end up on the side of 100’ cliff with overlook of the lake. Two trail heads start here - Day Hike & Volunteer trails. Parking lot is fine, but porta-John is only facility here. No running water.
This trail is great for runners, hikers, and dogs. The trail is well marked and well traveled. There are some roots and rocks, but I wouldn’t consider it technical for the most part.
